To follow a monumental project - his acclaimed new recording of the Beethoven Piano Sonatas - Daniel Barenboim has chosen an intimate, very personal album of his favorite keyboard encores, recorded at Berlin's Pierre Boulez Hall during lockdown. In celebration of his 80th birthday and 70 years on stage, the great musician lavishes his artistry on such gems as Debussy's "Clair de lune," Schumann's "Trumerei," and an array of other masterpieces by Chopin, Schubert, Liszt, Albeniz, and many more.
