For Dolby Atmos to be enabled, a sound system needs to be at least 5.1.2, so first Focal integrated it into our 5.1.2 Sib Evo. The system is composed of two loudspeakers equipped with an additional speaker driver on the top of the units, it is this driver that houses the Dolby Atmos technology. This new-generation of loudspeakers as designed to produce both horizontal and vertical sound waves. Get ready to live a completely new audio home-cinema experience. This pack is ideal for rooms measuring 100ft2 to 540ft2 (10 to 50m2). Blending seamlessly into your living room or home-theatre.

A Complete Pack

Sib Evo is composed of a 5″ Polyflex speaker driver and a 1″ silk dome tweeter integrated into a sizeable enclosure in order to give it extended frequency response. The Dolby Atmos® loudspeaker is equipped with an additional 3″ full-range Polyflex speaker driver on top dedicated to the Atmos® effects. The Cub Evo subwoofer recalls the same design codes as our Hi-Fi subwoofers in a ‘‘lifestyle” product. Equipped with an 8’’ speaker driver and a 200W Class D amplifier, it’s characterized by its MDF structure and its Matt Black finish.

What are Dolby Atmos® Sound Effects?

The particularity with this loudspeaker is its capability to reproduce the Atmos® effects of cinemas in the comfort of your own home. In addition to the front-firing speaker driver, an additional full-range speaker driver has been integrated into the top of the loudspeaker. This system prevents having to add accessories to your loudspeakers to reproduce the vertical effects, which may spoil the design or the overall harmony of the system. This surrounds the spectator with sound effects, particularly those coming from above, a major innovation for this type of product. Imagine an action scene with planes flying overhead, rain falling down or the rumbling of thunder... Atmos®-enabled loudspeakers, through the front-firing and vertical-firing speaker drivers, form a complete system with all elements working in perfect harmony. Thus, Sib Evo is an excellent system which is compact and structured.
