The PDR Projector Drop is the latest generation of projector lift for home cinema installations. Its universal mounting system coupled with its adjustable drop distance makes the PDR mechanism a favourite for leading audio visual installers around the world.
The PDR-RES has been designed for residential installations; featuring a pre-install MDF framework with a "Plaster In Edge", allowing for a neat installation into the ceiling. This eliminates any visible on-ceiling flange around the mechanism, with only the smallest 3mm ( 1/8 " ) shadow gap around the lid when closed. The framework can be installed at first fix, with the mechanism easily clicking into the framework at a later point using spring loaded locks, with perfectly placed cable routing detail.
Plaster-In Finish
The new PDR-RES design allows for flush fitting in the ceiling with just one uniform shut line, in the same way our CHR mechanism is finished, removing the flange from the previous design.
Perfect Match
Moisture resistant MDF base panel is pre-fitted to the mechanism, with matching ceiling trim panels also supplied. These can be painted and finished to match the surrounding ceiling finish.
The PDR has been resized to allow for more modern projector sizes, which should reduce the need for customisation and size changes. There are still options available for the more common larger projectors from Sony ( VW5000 and GTZ380 ) and Barco ( Bragi, Balder, Medea ).
Simpler Fitting
A latched mechanism detail makes installation faster and easier (main fixings still need to be fitted to secure the mechanism in place safely). Other aids such as the cable retainer bracket and simple connectors on our cable loom makes installation easier than ever.
Inherited Features
Key features of the previous PD design have been kept, such as cable management chain, brushed aluminium scissors, adjustable projector mounting, projector carriage tilt ( PDR2 only ) and adjustable drop distance options from the ceiling.
