The E-07 is a full-sized phono equalizer amplifier with a semiconductor configuration, following the EQ-500, which was sadly discontinued and had a non-feedback circuit configuration with all-vacuum tube circuits, and the compact standard model E-250, which achieved both high-level sound quality and ease of use, as a new innovation in Luxman's lineup of analog playback components. In order to optimally and accurately amplify the fine music signals picked up from the sound grooves of analog records according to the power generation method and impedance of the cartridge, it is equipped with a changeover switch that allows fine impedance selection in six steps from 4.7Ω to 1kΩ for MC and four steps centered around 47kΩ for MM. The newly developed step-up transformer for MC cartridge step-up, which uses a super permalloy core, is also compatible with balanced inputs that can receive differential signals as they are without losing output energy from the MC cartridge, and is configured as a total of four units with independent LR channels and Low/High gain, making it possible to select the optimal winding for each selected impedance group while improving left and right separation performance. The amplifier circuit is a traditional high S/N/NF type amplifier circuit that achieves low noise by 4-parallelization of the first stage FET while adhering to the RIAA standard equalization curve, and is polished with a group of carefully selected custom parts. In addition, the peripheral circuits for indicators and relay drive and the power supply circuits for the LR channels of the amplifier block are configured with three transformers that are completely separated from the power transformer stage, so that the load fluctuations of each circuit block do not affect each other. The E-07 is a new reference product that thoroughly pursues performance and functions to raise the level of deep analog playback, reproducing a rich sound field and colorful tones that realistically bring out the performer, and will be released by Luxman, which will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2025, for many audio fans and music fans.
