Revox StudioMaster T700 Turntable
The StudioMaster T700 Turntable is a high-end record player with a one-of-a-kind, integrated MC phono preamplifier. The integration of the preamp enables the best and shortest connection between the pickup and preamp, thereby delivering the highest signal quality. To ensure the best sound quality, absolute speed accuracy is quintessential. For this purpose, the T700 has a highly precise electronic PLL speed control system via a contactless optical sensor.
The pick-up arm is made of high-quality metals, and the arm tube is made of carbon fibre. The pick-up arm wire is connected directly to the preamp via manual soldering. The pre-mounted Ortofon Quintet Bronze MC pick-up rounds off this high-quality product.
Operation takes place via backlit touch sensors on the glass plate. This makes the operation of the record player extremely straightforward and intuitive.
The turntable of the T700 is made of black POM ( polyoxymethylene ), an additional mat is not necessary. To protect the record player, it is outfitted with a cover made of solid acrylic glass (included in scope of delivery), which can also easily be removed completely.
Integrated Phono Preamplifier
One particular highlight of the StudioMasterT700 is the one-of-a-kind, integrated MC phono preamplifier. The integration of the preamp enables the best and shortest connection between the pickup and preamp, thereby delivering the highest signal quality while avoiding interference. To achieve this, the pickup wire is e.g. tightly twisted and directly soldered onto the input of the preamp. Furthermore, there is also a galvanically isolated voltage supply for the phono preamp and the motor control, thereby avoiding any mutual negative influences.
Electronic Speed Control
To ensure the best sound quality, absolute speed accuracy is quintessential. For this purpose, the T700 has a highly precise quartz PLL speed control system via a contactless optical sensor. This system corrects the deviations (e.g. caused by environmental/ temperature fluctuations, ageing of the belt and bearings, friction during the sampling procedure) and ensures compliance with the
absolute setpoint speed with a tolerance of 0.02%.
In addition, the belt drive in combination with a high table mass and an optimally designed table bearing already deliver almost perfect synchronization characteristics. And the soft start for a slow motor start-up guarantees reduced wear on the belt.
Pick-up Arm & Pickup
The pick-up arm is manually actuated via a pick-up arm lift with oil dampers. The arm tube is made of carbon fibre, making it particularly light and strong.
The material composition of aluminium and carbon ensure that the desired pick-up arm resonance of 12-14 Hz is achieved. Delivering a pleasantly vibrant sound quality is the high-quality, precisely pre-installed Ortofon Quintet Bronze MC pickup.
Touch Controls
The operation of the StudioMaster T700 takes place via backlit touch sensors on the glass plate. This makes the operation of the record player extremely straightforward and intuitive. As a special feature, a key combination allows a calibration of the device to be performed.
Other Special Features
The turntable of the T700 is made of black POM ( polyoxymethylene ) – a material with high stiffness, low friction values, and good dimensional stability. Thanks to these properties, an additional mat is not necessary. To protect the record player, it is outfitted with a cover made of solid acrylic glass, which can also easily be removed completely.
Exclusive Accessories
The StudioMaster T700 is equipped with a comprehensive range of exclusive accessories. Among other things, the scope of delivery includes a classy wooden box for storing the digital stylus force tracking gauge, the table brush made of carbon, the round spirit level, the anti-skating weight, the pick-up arm counterweight, the belt for the turntable, as well as tools. Everything within easy reach for quickly and easily adjusting and caring for the turntable.
